Found these in the backyard. Found some other varieties but pictures were blurred.

The orange ones look like Velvet Feet, but can't tell what they are growing on. They also look close to ground. I've only found them higher up on elm stumps, trunks, and branches, the few times I did find some.

I found some similarly looking orange mushrooms growing on a dead elm tree last month. They were about a foot or so off the ground.

Orange ones were velvet foot growing on either a pussy willow or mulberry tree.

I goofed on my post. I said "elm" when in reality they were on a dead "ash." In the link I said "ash."

With the Emerald Ash Borers killing our ash trees, the only positive thing is that these dead trees are often hosting edible mushrooms.
However, morels don't seem to grow around dead ash trees. You have to find morels around other hosts like dead elms or aspens.

Chicken of the woods are that kind of orange as well and grow in shelves on dead trees. Polypores, heavy, grows from small in size to really big. They start soft in colour and get darker. Found spring and fall. Um velvet foot has gills. So if it has gills it's velvet foot for sure. Velvet foot is also smooth Right? I haven't found those before. Just the chicken of the woods. I'm new here.
