Looks like a big old dryads saddle. Break a piece off, it should smell a bit like watermelon. These are edible, but you want younger specimens as they get tough when older. Some people will clip the outer edges off older ones the outer edge is more tender. Those pedals on the outer edge are throwing me a bit, but I think it dryads...

yeah dryad saddle for sure. never seen them make those lobes like that. maybe it was affected by the weather.
