Question Half frees taking over

So I found this honey hole a few years ago that produced 15-20# a year of the grey and yellows. The last 2 years I'll find a handfull of greys and yellows at most. But there's hundreds of half frees. Has anyone else noticed this happening? I was always told the half frees come up after the blacks, but before the grey and yellow? Thanks for any advice
