Two different fawns

Last trip north I found a fawn. Then, about a half mile away I found a second. That makes 3 I've found in that area this year.

Re: Two different fawns

I've never come across any fawns in the woods while hunting morels. My father did once.

I did have to stop for one along M-55 between Manistee and Cadillac back in 2008. I had just gotten my car back from the shop after having a car/deer accident near Hastings a couple of weeks prior. A doe crossed the road and a tiny fawn wobbled out onto the road and stopped. I swear a little devil Jochs appeared on one shoulder and told me "Run it over, you see what they did to your car," and then an angel Jochs appeared on my other shoulder and told me not to, it's just a baby!
The fawn was about the size of a house cat with longer legs, and very wobbly. I imagine it had just been born a few hours before it wobbled out onto the road in front of me behind it's mother.

Re: Two different fawns

I never took a photo but I spent some time last week chasing one out of our hay field so we could mow.
